Mesabi Range Area Map

The City of Nashwauk is located in the west-central area of the Mesabi Iron Range.  It is situated at the intersection of US Hwys 169 and 65 where 65 continues north to International Falls and the Canadian border.  The area is rich in riding opportunity with access from the city streets and convention venue to area trails south of town.  Thousands of acres of former minelands, now in the public domain, offer trails varying from wooded byways to huge stockpiles and numerous small water impoundments.  While a new mine, plant and steel mill is being built just northwest of the city, our riding areas will remain open through the convention dates and beyond.  You will not need to trailer your machine anywhere except to and from the convention.

2.           City RV Park and Campground, with 22 spaces for full hookup.

3.           ATV Pull site, held by co-host Northern Traxx ATV Club of Chisholm, MN.

Note that ATV’s are specifically prohibited from traveling along US Hwy 65 (First St. in town) and Central Ave. (which turns into Cty. Hwy 86 on the east side of town), except to cross.  All other streets in Nashwauk are open to ATV travel with a speed limit of 20 mph.

Camping

Nashwauk City RV Park and Campground has 22 spaces for full hookup, and approximately 20 additional spaces w/o hookup immediately south.  These spaces are first come.  They do not take reservations.

No hookup RV parking for about 20-30 rigs is available immediately north of the ATV Pull site.
